WHAT nicer way to spend a summer's evening than strolling through meadows, working up an appetite and washing down a delicious pasty with a glass of cider?
That's just the opportunity offered by the Tetcott Hunt Supporters' Club for its latest fundraising event on Saturday, July 11.
It is a gentle ramble that starts and finishes at Newlands Farm, Bradworthy, the home of hunt master Elizabeth Haworth and her family.
Supporter's Club secretary, Neville Course, said: "The summer is a vitally important fundraising period for the hunt. We are hoping that this wonderful summer weather will continue and make for a big turnout of members and supporters to ensure a successful evening. The route will be well signed with members on hand to make sure nobody gets lost."
Newlands Farm is east of the A39 some three miles north of Kilkhampton, and will be clearly signed.
Those taking part in the ramble set off between 7pm and 8pm with refreshments served on return. Dogs are welcome but must be kept on a lead. Book your pasty by calling Ann on 01288 341417.
