Trevor Tucker of Whitstone has enjoyed another successful fundraising year in 2010, with £3,001.50 worth of donations being made to various charities and causes.
His recent plant sale and cream tea afternoon raised £2,764.50 for Children's Hospice South West alone — with another £237 going to five other charities after selling off the remaining plant at a number of car boot sales.
Trevor, known for his goodwill and never ending generosity, has now raised an astonishing £19,037 for charity over the past 25 years. He said he would like to thank everyone who has supported him over this time and hopes to see them in 2011 when he attempts to break the £20,000 barrier.
He has also organised a live music event to be held at the Bridge Inn at Bridgerule on Friday, November 12 with local singer, Geoff Provis, of Launceston. There will be a raffle and again all proceeds will go to Children's Hospice South West.
