FOLLOWING a third very successful summer luncheon held by the ladies of Tremail Methodist Chapel, it was decided to try a Christmas lunch.
Sixty tickets were soon sold for the event which took place on Sunday, December 6 in the Sunday school rooms. The menu consisted of roast turkey and all the trimmings followed by Christmas pudding and cream or trifle, all washed down with tea, coffee and mints. The tables were dressed with Christmas decorations and crackers.
Thanks have been expressed to Sadie, Kelly and Abigail Cornelius and Isabel Heal for serving the food quickly and efficiently leaving nobody hungry. Along with everyone who helped with the preparation of food both leading up to and on the day; for the donations of both food and equipment to help make the day a success including many businesses and organisations from around the area.
After the lunch others joined and an informal carol service was held by Rev Brian Ede in the school rooms and a total of £610 was raised for chapel funds.
