BETTER Splash Leisure Pool in Bude is celebrating success with one of its team members.

Para-swimmer, Adam Roebuck, recently gained an amazing set of results at the British Para-Swimming International Meet in Sheffield and successfully qualified to attend the International Competition in August. Adam’s fantastic performance saw him gaining personal bests in each of his events and even saw him gaining a position of 29th in the world in the 200-metre Individual Medley.

Adam’s coach, Maggie Davies, said: “As his coach I am so proud of Adam and so proud to be his coach. We work together virtually every day and his tireless energy and his enthusiasm to achieve keeps me working with him and encouraging him to strive to meet the targets required for the GB programme. We could be looking at an Olympic hopeful here.”

Adam’s gruelling training sessions will continue in readiness for the National Championships in the hope that he can carry on achieving great results with the aim of gaining his place in the Great Britain squad.”
