FOR many, weekends over the past six months have consisted of sleeping in and switching off to the world.

For others, six in particular, an intense training period has been in action with Mr Harkness, Miss Cronin and in-house action adventure man, Dave Oxnard to train for the Ten Tors Challenge.

The team, headed by team captain Jess Allin, consisted of fellow year 10 students Lucy Kenny, Holly McLellan, Matthew Thewsey, Sam Fanson and Joe Ellicott, who faced the challenge of hiking ten tors (35 miles) together as a team, with only a compass and map to navigate, and no teachers there to guide or help!
