THE Rotary Interact Club at Launceston College organised a collection of books to mark World Book Day.
The students collected an astonishing 53 boxes of fiction, reference and text books, which will be sent to the charity School-Aid.
From there they will go to poor, rural African schools to be used to create classroom libraries and for use in class.
An Interact Club is like Rotary for schools. A Rotary Club of Launceston spokesperson said the club is ‘very proud of these students and what they have achieved’.
