A STRATTON man is calling for greater awareness of the dangers in the sea after he and his friends rescued four children in the last month.
Phil Brown and his friends Blaine Wickett and Luke Barnfield are keen swimmers and often swim in and around the sea pool at Summerleaze Beach, Bude.
While in the sea they have rescued four children from being pulled under by the strong currents.
Phil said: "You may suggest they are tourists but two of these children were locals, this either says that there isn't enough awareness or there isn't enough education."
