STUDENTS at Launceston College achieved record results this year, with over 60 per cent of pupils gaining C grades or higher in both English and mathematics.

College Principal, Jack Jackson, said: "These results are testimony to the hard work and talents of the students and the fantastic dedication of the teaching and support staff at the college.

"This headline figure shows how well our students have performed compared to schools both locally and nationally; we are very proud of them."

Assistant Principal, Lynsey Slater, commented: "Our students have worked particularly hard in preparing for these exams, and it is fantastic to see them rewarded with the results they deserve."
