A ST BREWARD lady, who rescued a trunk full of her late uncle's letters and photographs from being thrown out, shared some of her uncle's stories from the trenches before he was killed during World War I, at the village's Remembrance Service on Sunday.
It was by chance that in 2008 Val Raynham discovered the family heirloom of 17 letters which provide a brief insight into life in the trenches and various artefacts preserved in a trunk in her mother's loft.
