A ‘STEW and Sweet’ afternoon was held at Tintagel Methodist Church on Thursday, March 30 to raise money for the church.
Over 50 people arrived at midday to enjoy a main course of beef stew or the vegetarian or gluten-free alternatives before tucking into old favourites such as trifle, fruit salad and many more.
This was the first time that the ‘Stew and Sweet’ afternoon had been held for quite a while but it was a resounding success.
One of the organisers, Gladys Cook, said: “It’s always been very popular when we’ve done it before and this time it was no different.
“People enjoy coming to the church and sampling the food. It’s always a nice afternoon.
“Thank you to everybody who came along to support it and to the helpers for making it possible.”
