At its October meeting Launceston Stamp Club hosted the Cornwall Philatelic Federation’s annual quiz finals at Ladycross.

Teams of three from stamp clubs at Launceston, St Austell, Newquay and Falmouth had to navigate ten rounds of philatelically demanding questions on all aspects of stamp collecting from Quizmaster Neil Sargent.

The only respite was a break at half time to enjoy some welcome refreshments provided by Evelyn Sandercock assisted by David Hatwell.

Vera Ellacott manned the raffle. At the end of the ten rounds the winner turned out to be the team from Falmouth with Launceston a close runner up.
