THE 32nd Launceston Steam and Vintage Rally, held over the Bank Holiday weekend, was a great success, despite poor weather conditions. Rally chairman, Matt Garrett said: "The weather's not been brilliant but we've been having a nice time here. Everybody's been helping each other out and we've had a reasonable number of people through the gates." There were many exhibits including military, an Old Cornwall display and the popular steam engines, as well a daily dog show. Launceston band Rudh provided the entertainment on Saturday evening and went down a storm. For the full report, and a round-up of the area news and sport, see this week's edition of the Post.
