IT WAS full steam ahead as members of the St Teath drama group put on their production of Puss in Boots at St Teath Village Hall on February 16 and 17.
A packed out hall every night and a half full hall for the matinee on Saturday just proved how popular the village pantomime has become.
The story takes place in the village of Much Rabbiting on the Wold, the Royal Woods and lake near the village, the Castle of Grim Grab and the Ogre and the Royal Castle.
Jeff Sloggett (Jasper), along with Megan Sidgwick (Jethro), kept the audience well entertained, while great talent shone through with Ruby Coleman (Bobbie) and Lucy Ferguson (Princess Esmeralda). Pauline Kent (Queen Wendy) and John Dunstan (King Wally the Once) were in fine voice. Not so popular with the audience was Grim Grab the Ogre (Bob Fox), with plenty of hissing and booing from the audience whenever he appeared.
This year’s production was directed by Bob Fox and David Jasper, along with musical direction and music on the keyboard from Gareth Stubberfield, with Jori Aylett on drums.
Director, Bob, said: “A big thanks must go to the village hall committee for their support along with the badminton club and all the parents of the children involved in the production.”
