CHRISTMAS came in sparkles and glory in a village which packs a punch when it comes to celebrating the annual event.

The St Teath Christmas Light switch-on was the culmination of another year’s hard effort by the village’s committee to raise the money and organise the display, and they were rewarded with a good crowd who came out to enjoy the winter wonders on offer.

Tricia Richardson, one of the hard-working volunteers who helps make the event a resounding success was given the honour of switching on the lights in honour of her efforts and dedication, having served on the committee since 1997.

Multiple events across the village coincided with the switch-on, among them being the popular Christmas market which allowed attendees to buy something special from a local trader.
