THE Post Office has agreed to relocate St Mabyn Post Office to St Mabyn Community Shop, Wadebridge Road, St Mabyn, on Wednesday, October 23 at 1pm.

Post Office services will be provided from a Post Office counter alongside the retail counter.

The current branch at Wadebridge Road, St Mabyn, will close on Thursday, October 17 at 5.30pm. During the relocation an alternative branch includes Wadebridge Post Office, The Platt, Wadebridge, PL27 7AG.

The opening hours will be the same as currently Monday to Friday, 8.30am to 5.30pm; Saturday, 8.30am to 12.30pm.

The move is part of the ongoing modernisation of our branch network. A local style branch alongside a successful retail store is the most effective way to safeguard sustainable Post Office services in the local community into the future.

During the public consultation the community supported the move.

Lewis Horn, Post Office change manger, said: “We are confident that this vibrant new-style Post Office at the heart of the local community will meet customer needs.”

The branch will continue to offer customers a wide range of Post Office services, from posting letters and parcels to collecting and returning online shopping items.

Customers can also take advantage of a wide range of banking services including cash withdrawals and balance enquiries for customers of all the main UK banks. Euros on demand are also available.
