ST BREWARD Silver Band held an open taster day recently to generate interest for new recruits.

The band was founded in 1899 and has a long 113 year history and tradition to maintain. It has provided musical entertainment to thousands of people from all over the world during that time.

Competitions are also regularly undertaken both at local and national level. In 2000, they qualified to attend the national finals held in The Royal Albert Hall, London, where they came fourth in their section.
