I HAVE  been a resident of Launceston all my life. I love this town but it disgusts me to see the grass in public areas not being kept tidy by the appropriate authorities. Isn't this what we pay our Council Tax for?

This bench is situated along Tavistock Road where there is a lovely view out over Dartmoor — if only you could see out over the weeds. This is the view the occupants of Poltamar and the new Stevenson homes get every time they look out of their windows.

Perhaps the town council should spend more time keeping in touch with the authorities that are responsible for keeping our little town tidy.
