THE remains of a body found near a stream on farmland near Delabole on New Year's Day have been taken to the Royal Cornwall Hospital in Truro for examination.
The discovery of the skeletal remains was made by members of the public out shooting on the land, Devon and Cornwall Police said.
Identification of the body has not yet been made and further enquiries are in hand as part of an ongoing investigation.
A pathologist was called in to examine the body in situ, and investigators are now trying to establish the gender and cause of death.
