The annual Delabole car treasure hunt took place on Sunday week, starting at the Poldark Inn with staggered starts between 2pm and 3pm.

Sixteen vehicles took part and the route took the 'hunters' to Marshgate, Poundstock Church and on through the historic Gildhouse next to the church in Poundstock through the hamlet of Treskinnick Cross and into the valley at Newmill where it followed the stream along to Penfound Manor .

The 'hunters' then made their way back to the Poldark Inn to await the results — the last vehicle back did not return until 7pm, having had a great afternoon with perfect weather.

A grand total of £163 was raised from the event and will go towards the Delabole Carnival funds for this year's grand carnival on Saturday, July 18.
