THE Rotary Club of Launceston opened the doors of its new Community Shop in Southgate Street on Monday, April 23 and members are amazed at the fantastic response they've had from the local community.
Launceston Rotary Club Spokesman Peter Casey said: "The public have been amazing, the items that they have handed in are of such good quality and we have been inundated with bargain hunters. We have also had a very good response from community volunteers to help us in the shop and things are going very well."
Amongst the bargains that are on sale are a solid wood dining table with six matching chairs for £100, a smaller drop leaf dining table and four chairs for £60, and being checked by the PAT tester is a Dyson upright vacuum cleaner.
