A NEW initiative is encouraging people from Launceston on their travels to send a Postcard of Kindness to residents at Cedar Grange residential home.

Having been launched over the summer by Your Health Ltd, Cornwall Care is now adopting the initiative, and one care assistant at Cornwall Care’s Cedar Grange residential home in Launceston, Stacey Nott, has received permission from management to introduce the scheme for residents there.

The initiative is looking to combat loneliness, and encourage residents to think of happy memories from their childhoods, spent abroad, on trips away in the UK or visiting their favourite attraction.

To get involved in the initiative, all people need to do is send a ‘Postcard of Kindness’ from their travels abroad or in the UK to the residents of Cedar Grange.

People may have been holidaying somewhere hot and exotic, had a mini break somewhere up north, visited an amazing attraction — whatever it is, grab a postcard, write a nice message and send it to ‘The Residents’, Cedar Grange, Cross Lanes, Lanstephan, Launceston, Cornwall, PL15 8FB.
