As we went to press yesterday (Thursday), one of Tenby's main roads remained shut for major repairs.

Dwr Cymru Welsh Water has been working to repair a sewer which collapsed in Upper Park Road on Monday.

Said a spokesman: "We have temporarily closed the road in order to safel`y carry out the work.

"Access to the Upper Road Car Park is available via a diversionary route which has been agreed with Pembrokeshire County Council and is clearly signposted.

"We will complete this work as quickly as possible and we would like to thank residents in advance for their patience while we complete this essential repair."
