POLICE are appealing for witnesses following a serious road traffic collision which occurred near Launceston on Saturday.

The two vehicle collision happened at about 11.15am on the A30 dual carriageway westbound, at its junction with the B3257 at Plusha near Launceston.

The collision involved a blue Honda Jazz being driven by an 84 year old man from the Chelmsford area, and a black Mitsubushi being driven by a woman from Launceston. The driver of the Honda was air lifted to Derriford with serious injuries whilst the woman suffered whiplash.
