BUDE Sea Pool has been chosen by car manufacturer Land Rover as one of the stars of its latest advertising campaigns. Members of the Friends of Bude Sea Pool (FoBSP) gathered for filming recently, where a crew was on hand to collect footage for the ad, to be broadcast nationally as part of a new campaign called 'Can and Will', which uses the brand's 'go-anywhere' attitude to encourage and inspire people of all ages to challenge themselves and fulfil their ambitions. The new advert, which premiered on ITV last week, features a number of individuals who demonstrate a 'can and will' spirit, including — alongside the FoBSP — Mike Goody, who lost a leg while on patrol in Afghanistan and is aiming to represent Great Britain in this September's Invictus Games, and Gwyn Haslock, aged 68 and Britain's first competitive female surfer, who is still heading out into the breakers after 60 years on her board.
