Eight-year-old Dan Roberts from Tintagel has just completed a very successful season in only his second year of motocross racing. Dan is a member of the Cornwall Schoolboy Scramble Club and at their recent presentation evening he won 1st place in the 2008 Summer Series Club Championships for the Auto (50cc) class, 1st place auto aggregate, 2nd place club aggregate and received the club's 'KTM Rider of the Year' award. One of the highlights of the evening was being presented with his trophies by International Motocross Champion, Josh Coppins, who had flown in from New Zealand. Amongst Dan's other achievements this year were 2nd place in the South West Motocross Club's 2008 Summer Series Club Championship, North Cornwall Motorcycle Club's 'Sportsman of the Year' award and many other wins and runner-up positions in two-day events, fun days and evening meetings at Cornwall Schoolboy Scramble Club, South West Motocross Club, South Somerset Motocross Club and some events further afield. As a farewell to his auto racing, Dan will be competing in January at a British Supercross event at the O2 Arena in London, before moving up to the 65cc class for the 2009 season. Dan's family and friends are extremely proud of his achievements this year and wish him all the best for the year ahead.
