HOLSWORTHY scout and guide groups were joined by family and friends at their headquarters on Saturday afternoon, October 19, for an open day, writes Christine Williams.

They were celebrating the 20th anniversary of the opening of the building, as well as a £10,000 refurbishment, which included installing a new floor and ceiling and redecorating the whole place.

While enjoying refreshments which included free cream teas, guests could see a display of photos and a slide show of the groups' activities.
