School children have shown their skills in writing and photography as they took part in the 'Young Writer' and 'Young Photography' competitions organised by the Rotary Club of Pembroke.

Pembroke Dock Community School pupil, Caera Lewis excelled by winning the Young Writer competition and was also a joint winner in the Young Photography competition.

Golden Grove Community School pupil, Poppy Cumine was the joint winner in the Young Photography competition. There were numerous highly commended entries from both schools.

The winning entries will be submitted to the Rotary District Final which covers 73 of the Rotary Clubs of South Wales.

Rotarian Dennis Jones, who organised the event on behalf of Pembroke Rotary Club, would like to thank all competitors who took part, with a special thanks to school staff for their excellent support.
