Marhamchurch Pre School recently had their Ofsted inspection and was graded outstanding in all areas of their provision, which is the highest grade possible.
The Pre School cares and educates children between the ages of two and five years of age. Children attend from Marhamchurch, Bude and the surrounding areas. The inspector visited both the setting in Helebridge Road and their forest school site and stayed the whole day talking to staff, parents and children.
During the inspection children were observed having lots of fun at forest school.
They dug for worms, toasted marshmallows, made mud cakes in the mud kitchen, had fun with mathematics and they took part in a music session learning how to play the guiro and sang songs around the camp fire.
The inspector described the Pre School as, “A delightful place for children to play and learn with enthusiastic and dedicated staff,” and added that the children showed deep engagement and sustained high levels of concentration.
The manager at the Pre School, Nicky Rogers said: “I am so proud of the fantastic staff and committee of the Pre School, and we are extremely happy to have achieved the outstanding grade.”
