SAFETY concerns have led to the removal of a basket swing in one of Holsworthy’s play facilities.

Holsworthy Town Council has confirmed it must remove the basket swing from Stanhope Park.

It comes as contractors continue to investigate solutions to solve issues with a newly installed roundabout.

A spokesperson for Holsworthy Town Council said: “Contractors are currently investigating solutions to ensure the new roundabout is working effectively. Due to a recent safety report, the basket swing will be removed and the parks committee will investigate a future replacement.

“Sharp & Tappin are currently crafting new brackets for the toddler swings and they will be in working condition by the end of September. Thank you for your patience. We endeavour to keep you updated.”
