LAUNCESTON Rotary Club recently presented a cheque for £350 from the Rotary Shop Fund to Launceston Swimming Club for the purchase of a new laptop.

The laptop will enable the club to deal more easily with the Association of Swimming Clubs’ registration requirements for national competitions.

Chairman Helen Ward received the cheque from Rotarian Dennis Howson.

The swimming club is very successful, having more than 140 members of all ages.

They coach learning to swim through to improving stroke technique and stamina.
