DESPITE the cancellation of the Holsworthy Rotary Club’s annual ‘Extravaganza’, due to the Coronavirus pandemic, the associated prize draw still went ahead.

This would have been the Extravaganza’s 17th year, but due to the current situation the club took the difficult decision to postpone the much anticipated event.

However, the draw was performed on Friday evening, March 20, by club president Peter Bumby, assisted by past president Margaret Benjafield and president elect Roger Young. The three lucky winners have now received their prizes.

Peter said: “We were delighted that the draw raised over £500, which we shall use in support of local causes. Thanks to all who bought tickets, and to Waitrose & Partners, and HBH Woolacotts who generously donated prizes.”
