ONE of the biggest cheque presentation events of the year took place in Bude, recently.

Bude Rotary Club presented 30 cheques to local charities and organisations from proceeds raised at this year's Great Atlantic Walk, held in October. More than £3,400 was raised from the event, of which 80% was given back to representatives.

The cheques were presented by Cliff Surgeoner, Rotary president.
