CHILDREN, staff and guests attended the re-opening of Bude Junior School library recently.

The guest of honour was Mr Jason Napier as the library has been dedicated to the life of Jaye Napier.

The project was funded by the Blanchminster Trust — for whom Mr Chris Nichols spoke of the enjoyment and vital importance of reading to the lives of all people both young and not-so-young.

Several school councillors read the inspirational quotes inscribed on the new bookshelves in the library before Katie Davis, the school librarian, was expertly interviewed by another school councillor.

The ceremony finished with a number of pupils from throughout the school reading to the guests during refreshments.

Thanks were expressed to the lady mayoress, Cllr Lea Deely, Jason Napier and the Blanchminster Trust for their vital and much-appreciated support.
