THREE hundred visitors were welcomed to St Marwenne's Church, Marhamchurch over the weekend of May 25 to 27 for the first flower festival to be held in the church for nine years.
Visitors were treated to twenty imaginative and original floral exhibits created and donated by local organisations. Visitors were offered a light lunch or cakes and drinks prepared by volunteers led by Angela Grills and Linda Mason.
Together with a daily raffle, there was also an opportunity to buy plants and gifts collected by Mary and Peter Jones. All proceeds from the festival will be donated to sustain St Marwenne's Church.
