The last annual general meeting for the Bude Inner Wheel retiring committee was held recently at The Falcon Hotel in Bude.
The retiring president Jenny Cloke welcomed everyone and gave her final report on the year and expressed thanks to everyone for their help and support during her term of office.
The rest of the committee who had held office then gave their reports. Everyone agreed that it had been a very successful year following the quieter time brought about by Covid.
The club was able to present cheques to representatives of several worthwhile causes which they have supported. The NSPCC, Bude Toy Library, Bude Scouts to enable representatives to attend the World Jamboree, Penhaligons Friends for their support to bereaved children and the Crown of Life School in Zambia. A cheque was also sent earlier to the Cornwall Air Ambulance.
