AFTER 20 years of loyal service to Launceston St John Ambulance, Tony Taplin has retired from his role of Divisional Superintendent while Gill Harris also steps down as Divisional Officer after 14 years in the division.
Tony first joined the division in 1992 and quickly became immersed in all things St John.
He was the Training Officer within a couple of years and while he trained members and the general public in First Aid, he also spent a number of years travelling round to 17 local primary schools a week teaching the children first aid under the Three Cross Award scheme.
