PEOPLE in the Camelford area are being reminded to complete a survey on their experiences in accessing local NHS dental services.

Camelford area residents have, for some time been without a dental practice in the town following the closure of Highfield Dental Practice in July 2012.

Patients now have to travel to other towns, such as Bude, Wadebridge or Bodmin to see a dentist, with many unable to access NHS treatment.

The NHS has said that the responses from the survey will help ensure that local NHS dental services in North Cornwall meet the health needs of local people, as the information provided via the survey will be used to plan and evaluate services.

They are looking for as many residents from Camelford and the surrounding area as possible to take part in the survey.

A spokesperson said: "This is your opportunity to have your say. You can make a difference to the future of local NHS dental services by completing the survey. It only takes a few minutes to fill in and can be done anonymously."

The survey must be completed by Friday, January 30.

The key findings will be communicated to local people and stakeholders and inform them about the next steps that will be taken — and how they can get involved.

The survey can be filled in by hand and can be found in shops and civic buildings in the Camelford area.
