MEMBERS of Kensey Valley Residents’ Association and volunteers from the group ‘Wear Love Out’ took the time to litter pick and tidy up the Kensey Valley Meadow and Kensey Valley Court areas of Launceston on Saturday, July 2.
Four bags of litter were collected and there were 36 bags of green waste, which was recycled.
A spokesperson from the Kensey Valley Residents’ Association said: “It was a lovely day and good to see some people from the community and children come and help out and they really enjoyed this.
“The atmosphere was great and such a community spirit from all that attended and what we have achieved is amazing.”
Litter picking tools and high vis jackets were borrowed from Launceston Town Council.
The association said it will be carrying out more tidying up of the estate.
