DESPITE the wet, windy and cold conditions, a great many people turned up to enjoy the South Petherwin Fun Day on Saturday, April 28. Craft stalls, face painting, glitter tattoos, a bouncy castle and sumo suits kept the children entertained, whilst a football tournament was eventually won by the South Petherwin PTA side. A balloon race was also enjoyed by all who came along, and although the wind was strong, most of them got away well, with a few stragglers following within a few minutes.
