THE winners of St Teath’s best decorated house competition have been announced — the village sparkling and glowing with an array of Christmas lights set upon many properties.
The judge was David Withers, who on Sunday, December 17, announced the winners of the competition, which saw many entries of homes around the village lit up with Christmas lights.
There were two joint winners — Richard Davey with ‘Pixi Cot’ and Fran and Mark Pryor with Fox Cottage next door.
This year, Richard’s wife Gill passed away after living with motor neurone disease.
In her memory, Richard has placed a wishing well outside his home, which is raising money for the Motor Neurone Disease Association.
It is expected a big sum of money will be presented to the association in January, from the wishing well’s donations.
The St Teath Christmas lights committee was delighted with the number of entries around the village, who went to so much effort in decorating their homes.
The winners were announced at the Churchtown Café.
