Delabole residents Alan and Jean Scott got into the festive mood on Thursday, December 1, as the countdown to their big switch on took place at Trecarne Gardens, Trebarwith Road.

The grand moment arrived at 6pm where local residents gathered to be treated to delicious mulled wine and mince pies which went down a treat on a cold evening.

Alan and Jean started to put their lights up in early November and every year add to the collection.

They do this to raise much-needed funds for the Cornwall Air Ambulance and present a cheque to them in January.

They said: “So come along to Trecarne Gardens at Delabole see the fantastic lights and make a donation in the collection box to keep our red machine flying over the skies of Cornwall.”
