THIS year’s Remembrance Service in St Peter’s Church, Port Isaac, was preceded by a service of Holy Communion.

The Rev Professor Andrew Lewis preached, presided over the communion and conducted the service of Remembrance. Groups and organisations from the community presented wreaths, which were laid in the sanctuary and after the service were placed at the war memorial in the grounds of the church rooms.

Standard bearer was Peter Bower and the roll of honour was read by Matt Main, who also read a passage along with Damien Bolton and Ted Childs.

Organist was Sandy Hancock and the offertory was taken by June Bryant and Francis Larkin, churchwarden.
