THE long-awaited redevelopment was completed and Stratton Hospital re-opened in November, 2012, as a state of the art, modern community hospital with excellent facilities for the people of this remote community.
The official opening in March was a great occasion and the hospital's popularity is growing. The number of in-patient beds is increasing and the Outpatient Department is very busy as district general hospital consultants and their teams hold clinics in a roomier, much improved working environment with modern equipment and supporting facilities such as X-Rays, Physiotherapy and Occupational Therapy.
The League of Friends continues to work closely with local staff and visiting consultants in purchasing equipment.
