THE Launceston branch of the Royal British Legion held a social evening on Saturday, May 20 at their headquarters in Westgate Street.
The three-course dinner was prepared, cooked and organised by Alan Atkin. When asked how he managed to do it all, he said that when used to cooking for hundreds, a mere 24 is nothing.
The chairman thanked and congratulated Alan for providing such a wonderful spread.
The members showed their appreciation with thunderous applause. It is hoped that there will be more of these evenings in the future.
