Cornish Stores at Boscastle will be open as usual and providing more Cornish products, says the new shop manager.

Paul Langford from Bude took over the shop last week and says he and his assistant manager Clare Stripe have received a good response so far.

"It is a beautiful area and I have known Boscastle for years. We have a good response so far and people are always friendly in Boscastle."

Paul also runs Tasty Pasties in Bude, a pasty shop in Bideford and a wholesale business. The Boscastle store will continue to offer a wide selection of fruit and vegetables.

Paul said: "We will be having a bigger range of products, including more Cornish items and locally produced products. Freshly ground coffee and tea is now available and we will increase our variety over the next few months."

The outreach post office has closed at the stores, but the extra space will allow the shop to cater for more products.

Paul added: "We will be carrying on just the same, with a few changes. If there is anything that the locals want we will do our best to get it for them."
