‘Arwen’ means noble maiden so it is apt that the noble maidens of Bude Artisan Market were able to draw the Christmas Charity Raffle in aid of the Hi-5 Talk Time Café, despite the market being cancelled due to the high winds.

On Saturday, November 27, the draw was done by Robyn Pearcey and Jacinta McEwan in the shelter of the Falcon Hotel, the event was live screened on social media. In all, a massive £1,000 was raised for Hi-5.

Thanks were expressed to members of the market and businesses in Bude who donated fantastic prizes (a full list of the prizes can be found on social media).

Special mention went to Redsmart Printing who did not charge for the raffle tickets and the Co-op who allowed the tickets to be sold on their premises.
