A SMALL but popular craft group has raised more than £2,700 by raffling two quilts in aid of two charities — and now it aims to help a third. Boscastle Craft Circle is a small group of people who meet twice a month in winter and once a month in summer to pursue their interest in crafts. They have already raffled two quilts, one for a charity in Africa and nearer to home for the Children's Hospice South West. Now group members are busy again, raising funds for Emmaus Cornwall. A charity that helps people in difficulty through being homeless, relationship breakdown, bereavement, addiction or abuse. Emmaus Communities enable people to move on from homelessness, providing work and a home in a supportive, family environment. Companions, as residents are known, work full time collecting renovating and reselling donated furniture. For the full report, and a round-up of the local news and sport, see this week's edition of the Post.
