BEACHES, footpaths and the tourist-attracting environment in Cornwall should be spruced up by convicted offenders on 'restorative justice' community service schemes. That is the call from Scott Mann, who will contest the North Cornwall seat for the Conservatives at the next general election. He is calling on Justice Minister Chris Grayling to implement a scheme to enhance the county's tourist attractions by utilising the potential of people sentenced to undertake community service orders. Mr Mann said: "I should like to see the justice system in Cornwall being used to improve our natural environment. "There is already a community service programme in place — but it doesn't seem to work to the benefit of Cornwall."
