CHILDREN from St Joseph’s school have recently taken part in their annual sports day.

Taking place on Wednesday, May 26, Nursery, Reception, Year one and Year two enjoyed a wonderful morning of events, and many parents attended to cheer the children on.

The morning finished with head teacher, Mr Scott, taking part in the parent’s race, followed by a hotly contested teacher’s race.

The weather was just as it was hoped for, and a great time was had by all.

In the afternoon, the junior children took part in their sports day and again, the standard was exceptionally high, with St Michael’s coming out on top as the winning house.

Thanks have been expressed to Mr Thetford and his team for making the field look exceptional and meet a high standard to play on.

Thanks have also been expressed to Mrs Kemp and the early years staff, as well as Mrs Gardner and Mr Brown for their hard work in contributing to the success of the two extremely entertaining events that took place on May 26.
