PUPILS at Whitstone Community Primary School, competing in teams based on their school houses, enjoyed an exciting afternoon of sport recently by taking part in the British Heart Foundation (BHF) Ultimate Dodgeball Tournament.
As well as participating in a fun activity, the children were also raising money to support the life-saving work of the BHF. During the weeks of preparation for the event, they solicited sponsorship from family and friends.
Not only does the BHF benefit from the fundraising efforts of the children, but the school also benefits as it is allowed to retain a percentage of the money raised to spend on the purchase of sports equipment.
